High-jacked Home Page default......

The Home Page default has been high-jacked.
I can't change it in the usual way.

It does not appear every time I start but I dont want it lurking there. (It appears to have come from a site of dubious content. My pc is used by several people and I don't know who visited this site and brought this misfortune!)

I suspect that my registry has been intereferred with.

I don't feel I know enough to go into the registry and search and delete/replace this.

Is there any way of over-writing it with another high-jacked default home page (which also would not run every time I start) which might be of less salacious content!?

Try running this file. It might undo the damage.

Sorry . I'm rather new to this sort of forum, or indeed any forum.

In the meanwhile I thought i would take a look in registry to see if akey value looks like it is the default home.

But in which hive and in which keys should I start looking??

I'm on a steep leaning curve here!

Found three instances of invading URL @

HKey Current User\Software\Microsoft\InternetExplorer\Main

changed to http://

Deleted TempFolders and Cookies.
Rebooted.
Hey presto!

to keep this from happening again.
