    Hi to all...

I've just started to have this problem; have no idea how of course. When I click to open IE (6.0) shell or a WE shell (so far I haven't received it on anything else I've tried to open) I get this popup window titled "HideWindow - Error" (with a yellow yield sign) that says "Window not found! ".

What happens if I click the OK button is that it delays the opening of IE or WE for about 30 sec's and then all appears to be fine.

There is one other problem at times when this occurs opening IE... at times I get a runtime error (maybe has something to do with the web content... ??). Not knowing what else to do I will click the "no" button as to debug and again all will appear to be fine.

It sure sounds like something is running in the background that now has a problem. Is there anyway I can find out what is causing this problem? Either to delete it all together or to reinstall whatever it is.

    TIA
    Jim

I think you caught a bug. An IRC Trojan that uses a hacked mIRC as it's engine (thus the pop-ups).

    Trojan.IrcBounce

Are you running AV software with current def files?

If so and if it isn't catching the thing, do a search of the security section on here for on-line scanners and try a couple of them.
