    Hi,

I would like to be able to show the clock, but NOT show the day in the notification area.
I have not found where this can be set.
Even the picture in the taskbar properties shows the time and NOT the day. Why is this option not offered?

Please let me know where I can turn this off.

    Thanks,
    Alex

I quess I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to. My Windows XP system only shows the time, not the day and if I recall correctly so did my previous 95 & 98 systems.

Are you sure you don't have some 3rd party software loaded that is controlling this feature? For example I use TClockEx which allows me several different ways to display the time and/or date. If you're interested in taking a look at this utility a copy can be downloaded from here; TClockEx

    No third party software.
Try raising your taskbar so it can contain two rows, you'll see the day appear. Terrible...

ps. How many times does one have to log in to this site. This is the second time and it tells me that no valid thread was specified. This is the second time this happens. But all this is way off topic...

Well, you learn something new everyday. Beings I don't use two rows I never knew the date would be displayed. That's an interesting feature.

For what it's worth, when I have TClockEx running and raise the taskbar to two or more rows only the time is displayed.

    :D

I have a two-line taskbar and I'd prefer to show time and date rather than day, anyone know if this can be changed ?

Does TClockEx work okay with XP, I was using this with my previous 98SE install, great utility ?

TclockEx works fine with WinXP. I've had it installed on my XP System for nearly a year without a problem.
