    Hello gghartman,

    Its a browser hijack, download/install:

    Spybot http://tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/
    Ad-Aware http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

HijackThis http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ If you have questions about the entries, Ad-Aware started a new forum for HijackThis here http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showforum=44

As to where it came from, you downloaded from a wbesite - a 'driveby' download. Be suspicious when a site wants to access your ActiveX.

Review these sites on security, one for Browser settings, the other more general:

    http://www.windows-help.net/features/surf-safe.html !! Browser Security

    http://www.cert.org/homeusers/HomeComputerSecurity

Have already done the adware remover and nothing was found. Thats one reason why I posted. Have always been able to figure these things out but it keep hijacking my browser and cant figure out why. Nothing abnormal in msconfig either.

    Thanks though it is appreciated.

    Hi gghartman,

Did you use HijackThis? I'd be suprised if there are no registry entries. Hijackthis is not by the Ad-Aware people, they just set up a new forum for it as this site http://www.spywareinfo.com/yabbse/ will answer questions about entries as well.

Unless you get rid of the registry entries, this is going to keep happening.

Didn't mention SpyBot in my previous post: http://tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/

    Regards - Charles
