I was originally trained in programming main frame computers in the late 1960s.
I took courses in Fortran, PL1, Cobol and Systems analysis. I moved out of the computer field into the financial field in the early 1970s and have not returned to it. I remember very little of these early program languages I was taught now.

I bought my first personal computer, a Compaq Lunch Box Portable, in the mid 1980s. I studied DOS up to version 6.2. Then learned Framework's Frame Referencing language FRED, and Ashton Tate's Dbase III & IV. These I used extensively back then but only remember them moderately now.

I started with window 3.1 and have been using it since. I got tired of learning new languages, and frankly didn't have the time to learn other new ones because my other vocational demands kept me busy. As a consequence, I haven't seriously studied any other programming languages since.

I use Microsoft office for most of what I do, and have only learned what I needed to know to do what I need to do. I have not taken any courses in its use only read in books what I needed to know.

While I have, over the years, had to install a memory chip or some such, I have little knowledge about repairing or fixing computers. My primary experience has been in using them to accomplish various tasks at work or in personal use. As a consequence, I likely can not be of great assistance to anyone, or likely to be a frequent visitor, but I will help when I see the opportunity.

Thank you in advance for any assistance I receive here.

    Kind regards to all,
    Frank
