Help with xp login.

    Hey, well I got this computer the other day. When I turned it on it loaded fine and came to the login screen. The user name was administrator. And I don’t know the password. I asked the person that I got the computer from if they know the pass word but they didn't. I don't have the recovery disks that would come with the computer. I have put it safe mode but I still can't get passed the login screen.

    Please follow posting rule number 6. Missing or Invalid Passwords or Product Keys - We follow Microsoft's Policy regarding missing or invalid passwords here; meaning that we cant help you, and don't want this information to be posted here. This also applies to Content Advisor Configuration Information and Product Keys.

    We have no way to determine if you are the legal owner of a piece of software/hardware, so do not ask any questions about circumventing passwords/security that you might have lost/forgotten. And NO we can't take your word for it.

    If you do not know what the administrator password is and you have asked the orignal owner for it then we can't do anything to help you, sorry. If you have a Windows XP CD then you can boot from it and perform a fresh install of Windows XP using the CD.
