help with windows xp instalation

i cant install windiws cause the instalation process stops just after booting from the cd it says checking your hardware configuration and then there comes a blue screen writeing windows setup and this is where everything stops no hard disc funktion and the cd rom slows down to zero please help me out with this is there another interface of that i dont know or anything else

 

what's the error? what's make/model machine? what is the system drive specifically and what other drives exist? unplug all devices that are not needed to boot the critter.

check updates to bios/firmware on the machine.

 

its a 40 GB and ive got 2 partitions on it maybe that is the problem i dont think its the bios cause its up to date
