Help with Tabs

This question is for a friend. Today his NS 7.02 has all the funky shortcuts across the top. You know, AOL, SEARCH etc. It was not like that yesterday. I walked him through the EDIT/PREFERENCES and all the boxes were UNCHECKED. NS was working fine yesterday but he had some knind of a problem with his address book this morning and heaven knows what he did. He is dumber than me on computers but I am at a loss as to why he cannot get rid of those shortcuts.

Hi erg,

Those buttons are hard to get rid of, but there is a way. What your friend will need to do, is to Enable the buttons which are now showing on his Toolbar. Close Netscape, then restart. Now Disable those buttons. Close Netscape and restart. Hopefully, they will be gone. If not, continue with the enable/disable, until you finally get rid of them!
