help with "My Computer"

    This problem started a few days ago. Everytime I turn on the computer at startup a screen pops up with the searching flashlight and then goes into "My Computer" screen. How can I fix this? Thanks for any help.

    Chances are good that you have installed some new software that is causing this problem.

    Does it do this even when you start in Safe Mode? Try it if you haven't.

    Also, try using System Restore to roll back to a date before this problem started.

    If no joy, then weed out your startups by running msconfig and disabling all non-necessary items on the Startup tab.
