This is my last hope. I've been cleaning up my grand-daughter's computer for a week using every tool I could. She quit using it over a year ago and I certainly know why.

I sent this log to my good computer after deleting number 15 and am writing from it.

I should probably mention SpyBot is reporting 6 entries where the Security Center has been changed to diable notify antivirus, firewall, SP2 udate and says do not allow XPsp2.
These are all registry changes and even though it says fixed, they come back on the very next scan.

It may take a while for one of our experts to look at your log, but I have Googled a bit and .....

Scan again and fix all the entries marked 'file missing' and ....

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [lbnqtkhxztw] C:\WINDOWS\System32\hdejmk.exe

Then reboot into safe mode and delete these files, if present.
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\hdejmk.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\smcjopw.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\epwn32.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\eqxcf32.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\amjkpx32.dll

There may well be more to clean out, but I am no expert and may well have missed something here.

Thanks Pete, I followed your instructions and rebooted into safe mode and the 5 files you listed were not there.

I will wait awhile before posting a new log, maybe someone else will have some input. Thanks for your help

    Jean
