Help with Google "Send Link by Email or Gmail"

I added the above google extension to my Win7 comp.
My default checkbox in the Settings is External Email Program not the Gmail option

When I right click on a internet page that I want to send, I usually get 2 options:

1. Email link

2. Share link via email

I usually choose #2 because I have Outlook.com which is my preferred

Sometimes when I right click I only see #1 which does not take me to Outlook.
How can I fix this so I always see #2?
(I tried deleting the extension and reloading but that didn't help)

Thanks for the prompt reply.
My default browser is Chrome but I have IE also.
The few websites I checked are working ok for now.

The next time I run into the same problem, I'll try IE and post back.
