doctorjay - Welcome to the Board :)

These things do happen :) Which antivirus software are you using, is it fully updated and is it running? Have you scanned your system with it? Do you know the name of the worm?

I suggest you do an online virus scan at Housecall - accessible through Quicklinks in my signature and post what it finds.

Then download and run the trial version of Ewido. When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu ".

Boot into Safe Mode and run Ewido, save the report and post it here.

If neither of these two actions resolve the problem we can take it further using HijackThis.
