    Dear Expert,

When I turn on the computer (after rest for one month), it reacted for only about 2 second, then it stops. During this period, I saw the green light on my power butten and hear some fan noise (from CPU). Please give some tips on the source of problem. Thanks!!!

    Regards!

Is this a laptop or a desktop?

If it is a laptop is the battery charged - have you tried running it on AC power?

If it is a desktop possible you have a problem with the power supply if the power light goes out almost immediately. While the computer was not being used for one month was it still plugged into the power socket which was switched on - and if so do you have a surge protector? Possible that there was a lightening strike or power surge.

    Thanks!
My PC is a desktop and was unplugged from power socket during unused period, which could not be caused by lightening strike. Any further tips!

Did this happen just once or does it happen each time you try to power up the computer?

If the computer is absolutely dead check that there is power available at the socket and, if in the UK, check that the fuse in the plug is good. If both of these are OK I suspect the power supply in your computer.
