Ok, I know that the old windows pwd file is not created in windows xp. however, i want to blast the password file (if it exists) in xp...essentially eliminating the username/password stuff that pops up when you bounce around the internet.

i tried the "clear passwords" option in IE 6, but that doesn't seem to be working. any ideas??

Tools/Internet options/Content/AutoComplete etc is the only way I know of having IE not remember paswords and addresses. I think you'll find that the Cookies is the culprit. I keep them enabled for convenience but delete then every couple of days. Tools Internet options...
