    Hello guys,

First of all, I want to appologiese, because this is my first post and I ask question, but I promise that I will be as active as possible for the future. I found this site, while trying to fix my problem with random restarts of my pc. I think that the problem is with my Internet modem, but ive done everything that is possible ( update the driver version etc.) and the pc still restarts. I read about debugwiz. Runned it and here is the log :

Ah just about to forgot. I "told" Windows not to restart when there is error, but to show me the "blue screen ". Ane here is the error :

    ERROR : sacmxp.sys Address f9f11a51 base at f9f11000, datestamp 3de2eb1c

Tried to google it and found this site and the guy who asked got the same modem like mine.

Another thing that i should mention is that when I switched to Linux for a some time I didnt have any problems with the modem and restart. Thats why I think that the Windows modem drivers may be buggy or smt like that.

p.s I really sorry about my English and hope you understood me at all.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, transfix. Welcome to Windows BBS! :)

That is a dump for a program crash that occurred three days ago.

I suspect you want to analyze your crash dump for a more recent "Blue Screen of Death" (BSOD).

According to the Dump Data collection tool and instructions link,
    ===========

I Googled mgMouseService.dll and did not find anything conclusive about your program crash. It might be a compatibility issue between mgMouseService.dll and Firefox. [NOTE: Some of those Google search results link to "yellow" or "red" sites according to McAfee's SiteAdvisor. Proceed with caution.]

Can you locate the mgMouseService.dll file on your computer and look at it's properties and/or location to determine what vendor the file belongs to?

Back to your random restart issue...

You may have a driver issue somewhere.

If you go into Device Manager, do you have any "issues" (such as exclamation point icons or question mark icons) reported there? If so, what are they?

Device Manager can be accessed as follows:
    • While holding down your Windows Key, press your Pause Key to bring up your "System Properties" window.
    • Click on the Hardware tab.
    • Click on the Device Manager button.

    ===============

I'm guessing you may be experiencing "Blue Screen of Death" (BSOD) errors/crashes that produce the famous blue screen or cause an automatic reboot (depending on how one's system is configured).

Here is how to configure your machine to display a BSOD for a system crash instead of automatically rebooting.

    • While holding down your Windows Key, press your Pause Key to bring up your "System Properties" window.
    • Click the Advanced tab.
    • In the Startup and Recovery section, click the Settings button.
Make the following settings in the "System failure" section:
    1. Check mark: "Write an event to the system log "
    2. Check mark: "Send an administrative alert "
    3. NO check mark: "Automatically restart "
(You should be able to read your BSOD screens after making this setting.)
    4. Write debugging information: Kernel memory dump
    5. Dump file: %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP
    6. Check mark: "Overwrite any existing file "
    7. Click on the OK buttons until you are back to your normal screen.

If you want to keep backups of your MEMORY.DMP files, then (after each BSOD crash) rename the MEMORY.DMP file (keeping the .DMP extenstion) and/or copy the c:\MEMORY.DMP file to another folder and rename as desired (keeping the .DMP extension).

    MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS (44)
A driver has requested that an IRP be completed (IoCompleteRequest()), but
the packet has already been completed. This is a tough bug to find because
the easiest case, a driver actually attempted to complete its own packet
twice, is generally not what happened. Rather, two separate drivers each
believe that they own the packet, and each attempts to complete it. The
first actually works, and the second fails. Tracking down which drivers
in the system actually did this is difficult, generally because the trails
of the first driver have been covered by the second. However, the driver
stack for the current request can be found by examining the DeviceObject
fields in each of the stack locations.

    Arguments:
Arg1: ff2afaf0, Address of the IRP
    Arg2: 00000d63
    Arg3: 00000000
    Arg4: 00000000

Please don't put CODE tags aroung your dump reports - they are so difficult to read in that format - just post 'em straight please :)

Yes, they do appear to be the same. I have no idea why the crash produced two dump files though. (If you want, you can edit your post to remove one of the logs if you do it within the next several hours.)

Please post one or two more BSOD dump analysis logs (after BSODs occur) to help us look for any common patterns.

We currently have only one BSOD dump analysis expert I know of (cpc2004) who drops by occasionally to help. Hopefully he will see your dump logs and comment.

    ==========
Often, testing the RAM is recommended.

In case you decide to test your RAM for errors, all of the following RAM testers have been recommended in this forum. However, opinions differ about which RAM tester is "best ".
If you discover an error with any of these RAM testers and the RAM tester does not identify which RAM module is defective, then re-run the test with only a single RAM module installed until you identify which module is defective. (I am not familiar with the exact information output of any of these RAM testers when they find errors.)

    Another possible method to follow:
    1. Remove some of the memory modules from the computer (while the computer is off, of course).
      • For example, if two RAM modules are installed in your computer, remove one of the RAM modules.
    2. Start your computer and see if the problem goes away.
    3. If you continue to have unexpected reboots, then replace that RAM module with another module, or install the module in a different memory slot.
    4. Start your computer and see if the problem goes away.
Continue this process to see if you can pinpoint the cause of your problem to a specific RAM module or slot.

In your case, this alternative method may be especially time consuming and/or inconclusive because your BSODs are reportedly random. :(

    KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: f9f2da51, The address that the exception occurred at
    Arg3: f5af86b0, Trap Frame
    Arg4: 00000000
