Help please, reinstalled xp, would like to recover original user settings

Had to reinstall xp due to corrupt and missing files.

But I ended up creating new users rathers than keeping the original info, don't want to spend days reconfiguring my comp.

The original user files are still there so how do I tell xp to use those ?.

Although the data you want to copy isn't in a corrupted profile, the process described in the MS KB article How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile is the same.
