I am happily using my computer, could be playing a game, listening to music or using the internet and suddenly the screen goes Blue, I believe these are called Blue Screen of Death. I have tried everywhere to find a solution to the problem. I have added quite alot of programs recently as it is a fairly new computer but i really don't want the hassle of getting a replacement. I was wondering if anyone can help.

I've gone in to the event viewer and here are a selection of the errors
    Source:MrxSmb Event:8003
    Source:System Error Catergory: (102) Event:1003
    Source: DCOM Event:10005

These appear a number of times and there are more also, but can anyone give me any help?

    Skeeter,

    See if this helps:

You can manually edit the registry. Edit the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters.
Modify the MaintainServerList and/or the IsDomainMaster key to a value explained
    below.

MaintainServerList - No - This PC will not participate as a browser.

MaintainServerList - Yes - This PC will become a master or backup browser. This is
the default value for Windows 2000/XP servers.

MaintainServerList - Auto - This PC can be a potential browser. This is the default
    value for Windows 2000/XP workstations.

IsDomainMaster - True - Designate this PC as the preferred master browser.
