Help! Netscape 7 keeps disappearing from my new Gateway XP computer. Ramona, I am so sick because of this. Do you have an email address of phone #? You are my only hope.

 

What do you mean it is disappearing? Do you mean while you are in netscape it just vanishes? Or is the link to go to netscape gone? Further describe this problem and maybe I can assist you

Hi Rich,

When you look at your *.slt Profiles folder, you will most likely see that your Profile is alive and well. Look here:

C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profilename\xxxxxxxx.slt

NOTE: These files are hidden by default.

To see hidden files:
1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options
2. Click the View tab
3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders

I have a help page with workarounds listed for this Lost Profile problem. Try these workarounds, and then if you continue to have problems let us know.
