Help my helpers...

..., the guys at the broadband call-in desk. They are very agreeable and knowledgeable up to NScape 4.79, but they can't support anything beyond that. I mean, they'll give it a shot, but they don't know where to enter things like passwords and addresses in NScape7. So I'm running 4.79.

If I were to install v7 over 4.79, would the newer app pick up the data and stash it wherever?

Not sure how much this will help. Netscape 7 is not an upgrade to 4.xx. It is a separate program and you can run the two at the same time. I use 4.78 for email and 7 for browsing. I often have both open with no problems.

If I remember correctly, you will have the option to convert your current profile info over to 7 without losing it in 4.79. The profile location for 7 can be found here. Just depends on your OS. Ramona, the board's Netscape guru, has a Netscape help page. It can be found here.
