Don't know what the heck happened! My computer crashed earlier today...I got a message when I re-booted that my address book was LOST, but that it would be restored..don't remember the exact message. I hadn't used my address book lately..don't know what happened. I had recently switched back to Netscape 7.1 from Mozilla, but my address book was intact. Now it is gone. Help, please! Can I recover?
    Thanx...LuckyFish

    Hi Luckyfish,

Oh dear :( .... Of course you make frequent backups, and you can replace your abook.mab file with a backup... please say it's so.

Look at this page and see if anything here helps: Address Book Disappears

Unfortunately a crash will wipe out the Address Book, and other data...

Thanx, Ramona. Well, thanx to you (sometime last year), I did make a backup once or twice:p ! I am sad to say I've not made one since:( However, I will try your suggestion....at least that should have MOST of my address book in it. I have never had this happen before....it was just a typical crash (blue screen....'your computer not shut down propertly, etc). This time I got a message saying that I had lost files in my address book...but it said it would restore it (something to that effect). I clicked ok (my only choice), but bam! nothing was there! I'll try your suggestion and see what happens. P.S.-the only unusual thing I can think of was my removal of Internet Explorer (a link in Australia, I think), but that was done 3 or 4 days earlier than my crash. I don't think my address book was in use when all of that happened. I will let you know if I can figure this out! Thanx a bunch! LuckyFish
