    Hi Folks,

    1. I want to migrate my Mozilla 1.7.3 Profile (especially mail) from my XP PC to my W2k Laptop.

I have tried the method described at:

    http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/ns7pctopc.html

    - It doesn't work!

Problem maybe: The Profile is located in the folder "default" on the PC, but I have previously renamed the Profile "Olivier" in the Mozilla Profile Manager - Mozilla hasn't remened the folder, though.

So when I create a profile "Olivier" on the Thinkpad, Mozilla wil create a new folder called Olivier.

I always get the message (in German originally, since I use Mozilla.at) "Mozilla cannot use Profile Olivier, since it cannot find the folder ".

The same happens if I use "default ".

    Who can help?

Who do I migrate all my mails and settings to another machine?

    2. I want to migrate my mail folder (Profile) on the PC as well, since I am running out of space on a disc. How do I go about doing this?

    Thanks for your help!

    Greetings,

    Olivier (go_modem_go)

Hi! for both questions, you need to be able to see the folders, so refer to this other article by Ramona .
The name of the profile does not seem to matter, to Mozilla, at least. The constant is the name of the .slt folder. Every time you create a profile you get a n .slt "name ". Now if you can manage to copy the old .slt folder from your XP PC to your laptop., then you can replace one .slt name with the other.
As for your other question, I like another of Ramona's tips
You do not even need another hard drive!
