I am not sure of what passwords, you mean, except maybe the user logon password for Microsoft Networking, and I am sure you know to press Esc to get around that.
If you were to delete all PWL files located in the windows folder, and reboot, and just click on OK when the user logon appears, or type in your new password.
When you get online, go straight to windows update, and get IE6 SP1 installed first, then install the other criticals when you return. The reason for this as the ones present the first time for the current IE will be a waste of time.

If it is a BIOS/CMOS password, that is, it comes up before Windows starts, you can reset it by disconnecting all power and removing the battery for a few minutes.
