I am transferring/deleting files from an external HD to my new W7 laptop, the issue is each time I delete a folder I do not need I get the "need administrator privileges to delete" prompt. I am logged on as the admin already and I am the only user. thanks

thanks, the reason I am confused is because I am running W7 32bit on my desktop and I dont get the same prompt, it just lets me move and delete files without asking for admin privileges.

Thats interesting. Do you have UAC on or off? That would probably cause you to see the admin privledges prompt or not.
