Help finding an old computer game...

Hello

I need some help finding an old computer game that I used to play as a young child. I played it around 1996-1998 or so... Unfortunately, I don't remember the name.
This is all that I remember from it: it was a strategy game, and involved a princess in a pink dress. She lived in a castle or was visiting one (I'm not sure). I remember there was a part where she had to walk up and down lots of stairs. There was also a part where she was forced to make a brew or stew or something. I think that's the part that I always got stuck at, because I could never figure it out! I think this game was kind of a frightening game, because I'm pretty sure that my parents threw it out!
It's been more than 12 years, and I am so intrigued to find it again!
