Hi Everyone

My name is Tom, in my mid-60's and living near Cambridge, UK. I came into computers late via the Sinclair ZX and Spectrum, and got my first computer job looking after an IBM Displaywriter. I've spent most of my working life in the voluntary sector developing software (and programming) for Community Meals sytems, as well as general IT managing. My own pc is a Dell Optiplex, and an elderly IBMThinkpad laptop (using Win2k), which will be hard to give up when it all gets too out of date.

In the meantime I have been helping a friend in France solve a long-standing Word problem, which, with the help of a post I came across on WindowBSS, solved it instantly! I am now off to say thanks.
