Hello,

First off ,let me start by telling everyone that Im a bit rusty on my computer
stuff... I havent had to do any kind of changes to my pc in a very long time. And I am use to having a computer tech on hand where I last worked. But
Im not there anymore so Im tring to learn as I go here.
I received a personal handheld scanner as a gift last year and Ive been tring
to program it ever since. I have finally figured out that my main problem is
with my COM1 port. I get a reading that its already open. And this is stopping
the download process. I have something called an ACPI\PNP0501\1 that is
installed on my PC and my Laptop. From hat I have found in my searching
the internet is Im not the only one. I hope that maybe someone here might
be able and willing to tell me what I need to do ?
