Hi, I'm Jack. I live in South Australia and am not too good with computers. Windows frustrates me at times as it is hard to find solutions to problems.

What's with the error reporting system? Even though I have clicked to report errors (sometimes the same ones many times over) they still keep coming. Does anyone actually monitor these reports?

    Hi Jack,
    Welcome to WindowsBBS.
Like you, I too live in Adelaide South Australia (Playford Waters @ Smithfield to be precise).
I build and repair computers for a hobby, and have achieved recognition for being helpful to others before, although at another place.

If you are experiencing problems with Windows, you could send me an email and I might be able to help, my email address is: Removed by Moderator for your security Alternatively, you might like to detail the exact issues you are having with your operating system, and post it in the appropriate forum.
Please be sure to mention which system you are using; for instance, XP (and SP details);Vista (which version); or Windows 7 and version.
There are a number of Discussion Forums here relative to particular systems; they can be accessed from the Left Hand Panel on the Home Page here.

In answer to you query as to whether Microsoft actually monitor those error reports, I sincerely believe that they do, because I have noticed in the past that many of the monthly 'fixes' address the information received in those error reports.

Good luck with solving your problem; I will look out for your reply so that I can try and help you.:D

    Kind Regards,

    Chauffeur2 (Dave T).

The whole object of Bulletin Boards is that all issues are aired publically for the benefit of all Members of the BBS all of whom can contribute to the solution.

If you wish to offer help on a private basis please do this by other means.

You must start your own thread - in the XP forum if that is the OS you are using. Give your thread a title,e.g. 'Question re. error reporting' and type your issue in the message pane, e,g. 'What's with the error reporting system? Even though I have clicked to report errors (sometimes the same ones many times over) they still keep coming. Does anyone actually monitor these reports?'.

You may find the User Guide helpful in getting started.
