Just joined Windows BBS. Looks like a nice group of experienced warriors here. I am employed by a large insurance company and work in the Finance area supporting all computer activities (PC and mainframe). Just purchased an HP dv6-1030us laptop with VISTA Home Premium x64 installed. First experience with VISTA. On this laptop it works very well, good speed, wonderful wide-screen, etc.. Has given me the bug to install VISTA x64 Ultimate on my desktop. Bad experience. Video problems unresolved. Finally found the drivers to get my hard drives back. But the video problems pushed me back to XP x64. Now since my OS is back to square one, have decided to try Windows 7 x64 beta. Can't get it to install. Going to try Windows 7 beta x86 and see if I can get that to install. Came to Windows BBS looking for recommendations on a video card for VISTA. Thought maybe my ATI 9800 pro was the problem. So, it's good to be here. Looking for help and offering help if I can, let me know.
