My email address was harvested off this web site and I received one of those obvious junk mails as a result.

from: iluvpusssomuch@ yada yada dot net, with an html attachment.

Naturally, the reading pane was set so that when I checked email I could not get away from it without having clicked on it. Then when I exited Outlook something tried to save to a Word file.

So, the next hoop was to run a virus scan, and the other security utilities.

Normally I register for online things such as this forum using a hotmail address, but suffered a laspe of memory and used a real one when I registered here. It took me going through several forums to double check before I found it.

I've since gone in and changed the email address, but thought you all might want to know.

Your email address CAN NOT be harvested, since it is NOT displayed anywhere accessible on our site.

Well, I've gone back into my CP and looked and I want to agree with you, as it seems to be hidden behind the forum tools, etc.

But, if this is the only place where I have used that email address, how would it have been found anywhere else?

What anti-virus program are you using with Outlook?

    AVG Free version.

Got tired of NIS hogging resources. Same with McAfee.

We have CA on the office where I work -- it seems to be busy all the time.

Figured to give the freebie a try.
