After a sudden general crash down in my HP dv6648se laptop, with Vista home premium, the technician recovered the system (all data was lost), but the phones are not working. Everything else is ok, but when I plug in the headphones, the sound still goes trhu the speakers. I think it is about the sound hardware controller, but i could'nt find anything about drivers or setup for this case. Anyone could help me with this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So when you say the phones aren't working you mean headphones and not telephones - correct?

Did you install the chipset drivers for the mobo and soundcard drivers?

It's correct. I meant headphones. I have everything reinstalled, and working ok. even when i open CONTROL PANEL, and AUDIO, the headphones are correctly installed and if i run a test i can hear the sounds in the headphones, but i can't hear any reproduction. If i run a soundtrack (real player or windows media) it sounds via the speakers, and if i run the headphones test at same time, the test sounds are heard in the headphones, but the soundtracks are in the speakers. After the reinstall, it only take to insert the headphones plug to change from speakers to headphones. I looked for a output control in real player and windows media but i coul'nt find any. any suggestions?
