Have problem saving files on Netscape7.0

    Have Win98, P4, 20GB HDD using Netscape 7.0

    Have problem during saving html/jpg files to HDD,

    It saves but very slow & the machine sort of hangs for 15 secs before I can click on anything of Netscape. However I can run other program like Norton Commander or Microsoft explorer

    It worked fine for Netscape 6

    Any help is appreciated

    Hi rogue88,

    Delete, or rename this file, and see if it helps:
    compreg.dat

    The file is located in:
    C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\components

    Ensure that Netscape and Quick Launch are closed before editing.
