have no "send" button in microsoft outlook

I would like to try using microsoft outlook to send mail. However, I have no "send" button......no send/rec either....it seems I am missing a whole row of tool bar buttons, and I don't know how to make them appear. I have clicked "standard" and "formatting" and everything else I can think of. Suggestions please? Also...can I use outlook express stationery from the internet in microsoft outlook? I am very confused.

 

You don't say which version of Outlook you're using.

Try right clicking on the toolbar and select Customize and add what you need.

Send is also a choice under Tools.

 

Outlook 2000. "Send" is not an option under tools. I have right clicked and tried everything. Customize doesnt offer me "send ". I have read all I can find under "help ". Nobody knows why I don't have "send" button, or "send/receive" for that matter.

 

Do you have it set up for email? MS Exchange? Internet?

Under Tools > Options > Mail Services tab you can see if or how your email is set up. Sounds to me like it's not set up at all, you can set it up in that section (I think).

 

You guys are absolutely right, it needed to be "set up" . Have that done now, things are working splendidly. What a great site this is for us "newbies ". Thank you very much.
