Whenever I try an install a piece of hardware on my Windows 2000 setup I get problems! Normally telling me no drivers could be found without even asking me to look for them! (I think I remember seeing "Code 28 ").
An example is I just tryed to put in my digicam which is ment to be (and I have successfully used) plug and play under Windows 2000 and XP.
Also my Lexar JumpDrive is plug and play and it won't work!

    Any ideas?

    Thanx, Gary

If the jumpdrive is asking for drivers you have something seriously strange going on since it doesn't need them except with 9X.

Any errors in your event logs that make sense and seem related?

    chkdsk /r?

    sfc /scanboot and reboot?

    Spyware and virus scanned?

I remember seeing a fairly recent update on the Windows update page that describes your problem - unable to find drivers after an SP4 install. If you haven't already done so, mosey on over to the Update page and see if you find the update. I think it was a "recommended" update.
