Which drive isn't showing up? Primary Master or Primary slave?

If it is your primary master you are posting from another computer I can understand you may not be to post very frequently.

You are checking the jumper settings?

    Try disconnecting all other drives.

On some computers, drives aren't recognized automatically. You need to go into the BIOS/startup settings find the settings for the drive controller (primary) and get it to "autodetect" the drive.

You can try running the HDD manufacturer's setup utility, that may tell you why the drive isn't recognized.

I had a drive controller "blow up ". I got a PCI IDE controller card which allowed me to run the system for a few more years (until the rest of the motherboard passed away :)).

    Matt
