I recently had a pc to go down but I think the Hd is ok It is a Fujitus MPC3032AT. There is some info I want off it. Will it boot up on an ATX or do I have to use an AT ? Other Q does the fan on on an ATX power supply suppose to start running as soon as the power is turned on? I do know the fan is good. Could it have a setting to come on at a certain temp? Thanks You people do a very good service.

    Hey Ed

If your PS fan is not running from the gitgo, it may be clogged with dust. Get the dirt out of it and the rest of your box. Who knows, your computer may start working again.

If no go, you can put the HD in another computer as a slave drive and retreive any stuff you want. My computer will report the drives out of order if you have two primary drives.

Try using your computer with the side panels off to see if heat is causing a problem. They like to be clean and cool just like us...

I have already cleaned everything up and hooked the fan up by itself and it will run. So thinking something is wrong in the PS.
You are saying that I can hook up the HD as a slave and it will work on either an ATX or AT power supply . I didn't see any difference but wanted to make sure so I don't mess up my other PC.

If the plug and wire colors are the same, go for it.

    How do you do that?
