I have ghosted my 20Gb to a 40Gb using Nortons Boot disk. I have done this on a number of hard disks in the past without any problem. I am, however, getting a warning,

"The compression driver cannot be setup correctly.
Get a version from your vendor that is compatible with this version of windows. "

    I'm running win98SE.

    Any suggestions?

The file cluster sizes are incorrect. I am not sure exactly what you did, but when ghosting, the partitions need to be the same size. If you ghost a 6 gb to a 10 gb, you get what you have now. The file cluster size of a 6 gb is 4096 bytes, the file cluster size of a 10 gb is 8192 bytes.
When ghosting, the receiving drive gets the cluster size of the original, regardless if it is the correct size or not.
