Hard Disk advice

    have runout of capacity on my slave western digital 40gb drive and am looking to install a new 120gb drive. any advice re makes, models, SATA etc?

    Reviews at www.Dabs.com on the 120GB Maxtor are not good so I would shy away from that.

    If you are happy with WD stay with them, but whatever you choose I suggest 7200 rpm with 8 Mb cache.

    I looked at SATA recently and could see no advantage - just a heap of potential problems - search the Board for SATA.
