I have a user computer that was newly reimaged and everything is working fine, I did not return his computer cause the user is out of town for couple of days, everything was running fine until I came in today, boot up the machine and it hangs at the "Applying computer settings.." for about 10-15 minutes. the last thing I did was undocked it from the docking station. I re docked it today and this happened... Any one came by this problem before and have a solution for it? Alot of users at my company have the same issue and we dont have an answer for them.. they usually have to unplug their network cable and plug it back in to get by the screen faster... Any help would be grateful. Thanks

That points to a possible cause: A DNS issue.

Check Event Viewer, go to Start > Run and type eventvwr.msc, click OK.

Check your Application and System logs for errors.

You can double click on any error for more details, and there is also a button to copy the error to your clipboard for easy copying & pasting.

Look for items with red Xs that happened at the time you logged on... list them here.
