I was surfing along and I use Kerio firewall. I keep it to always prompt for most things, instead of using rules. I got a dialog box up asking whether something could connection, I really couldnt remember what it said (if I remember correctly, it was tcpipdriver or kerneldriver or something like that in the description ? ) and I accidently pressed Allow :(

A few seconds later, the shutdow box came up saying RPC was closed or something and it counted down from 60 and reset my pc. I promptly pulled out the broadband lead

On restart, I got a warning I've never had asking if msblast (It might of been mblast, but it was one of them!) should be allowed to connect to the internet. Before I could press Deny, my computer went to a blue screen (the desktop). It took ages to log on, a lot more than usual, and stuff came up really weird (no toolbar on taskbar or space for programs to load). A couple of seconds later, The countdown began and it shutdown.

I daren't turn it on now. I need help. Please :(

A few times a message has appeared on my screen suddenly telling me that NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM was going to shut down my PC. All you can do is save your work and basically take it like a man unforunately and let your computer reboot.

This is a security flaw in Microsoft Windows, mainly NT/XP/Server.
If you see this message you should install Windows updates as soon as possible. There is basically someone out there sending data to your PC causing this to happen.

Advisory Warning to all users of the following operating systems:

    Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Services Edition
    Microsoft Windows 2000
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Microsoft Windows Server 2003

Your Microsoft Operating System may potentially be under attack by HACKER ACTIVITY. The vulnerability attack can fool software into accepting insecure commands that could let intruders steal data, delete files or eavesdrop on e-mails.

Due to the seriousness of this vulnerability the Department of Homeland Security and Microsoft encourages system administrators and computer owners to update vulnerable versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems as soon as possible.

And in Kerio, add the rule to block RPC calls by disallowing port 135,139 & 445 (both UPD/TCP). I have set my rule to Display alert box when this rule matches, and it's interesting to see who is trying to break into my PC.
