Does anyone know how to change the programs that automatically start up when I turn my computer on ?

When I hit Ctl-Alt-Del, there are about 20 programs straight from jump. If I End Task all of them, my % used jumps about 15%. Not to mention, that it takes FOREVER for them all to start up.

I would like the computer to ONLY start up Explorer when I fire up.

Anyway, the question .. How can I change auto starts when I boot up ?

    Hi Doug W
Go to start......then run......type in msconfig......and then look under the start up tab.

You can check against pacs-portal to see what is safe to uncheck.

You're most welcome. You'll notice a considerable speed increase when you boot up, freeing up those resources.
Post back if you have any questions.
