Greetings to my fellow BBS members,

I guess I skipped this part at first, but better late than never...

I was introduced to computers by my polyvalente (high school) math teacher, a small select group of 10, high grades student, were chosen to qualify for his IT program of which 3 made that year's science fair; I was greatly pleased to be one of the 3. We used paper terminals connected to the main frame in Montreal (I'm a native of Sherbrooke QC) by modem (the kind you put a telephone handset into 2 donut shaped cushions! Programming using Basic. That was like the stone age!

In CEGEP (college) I started out with punch cards terminals also connected by modem and the following year they brought in a Digital main frame with CRT terminals. We learned: Assembly, Fortran and Cobol.

My first desktop was an Amiga 1000 (Commodore) no hard drive, every thing done from floppys!

My first windows was 98.

I am currently unemployed looking for work before my EI runs out.

Been a jack of most trades all my life, with highlights as a writer/ publisher, landscape artist, home builder, organic orchard manager, Heavy equipment operator, delivery truck driver; to name a few occupations of mine in the course of my life... and even amateur computer tech.

Lived in Hawai'i and Bali for a good part of my life.

Now living in the winter Olympic host town of Vancouver BC for 4 years.

Well, enough about me and on with fixing the ever breaking down Windows! and helping fellow members in the process.
