    Hello,

I am Richard, and I've discovered Windows BBS while searching for a procedure concerning Small Business Server 2003.

I have completed a Certification course for Network Administration, but failed to retain a practicum afterwards so I didn't get the piece of paper; I did pass all the exams though. So I'm qualified, but the school, I won't mention, won't give me a certificate to hang on my wall.

After the year of school, I worked in a Microsoft Certified Gold computer network provider for a year, till the recession hit and in 2009 I was laid off.

But they did pay for a A+ Certification via CompTIA. WooHoo.:)
Now I have a certificate on the wall, and am a card carrying member of the tech community.

I look forward to browsing around in this community of Windows BBS.
In the 1990's I used to be a member of the dozen or so local bbs systems, branching from the FIDO BBS network the circled the globe before the Internet became popular.

This is the first that I'm participating in since I left Windows 3.1 and 95 behind. :(

I hope to be helpfull, and likewise, retain some help on what I face these days.

    Cheers,
    Richard.

    This is great!

It's just like the old BBS systems of DOS and Windows 3.1 with a few modern tweaks. I like the Grey screen at logoff, and the gradient colored titlebars and buttons; a must for a successfull web page, (I think).

I like the style, it's a great use of space, great balance like the 3.1, when designers thought that we had infinite amounts of space to spread out. Similar to handwriting analysis, when designers today crowd every inch of space with information, it is obvious that they're thinking that they don't have enough room, or can't afford to spare any.

Thanks for making this available, I look forward to browsing around and making a few connections.

    Cheers,
    Richard
