    Hi All,

Let me first say that this is, hands down, the best site on the Internet for help. Thank you Arie for it. I stumbled onto the site about 6 years ago. The people are friendly, helpful, and explain things so that anyone can follow along. The help I have received here has been amazing. I have made friends here that I chat with outside this forum.

My first computer was an IBM Aptiva back in 1998, I think. This is how bad I was at computers... I didn't even know about defragging or how to do it. A friend showed me and I was amazed. Like others, at that time, I thought there was no way I would ever fill up a 2GB drive. Now I have a 200GB in my XP system and a 500GB external drive attached to it. I also have another XP system (for the kids) and a 98 system that I keep around to mess with.

Personal info: I am a young (so they tell me) 44 years old. I live in Austin, MN. Yes, the home of Spam. Yes, yes, I'm a lucky guy. I have lived here for 14 years with my wife (of 24 years) and my three kids. I've survived two of the three worst floods in town without any damage. I work as a letter carrier for the Postal Service (thus the signature on my posts) and have for 20 years. No "going postal" jokes please. You never know when I might! Before Minnesota, I lived in Nebraska (Go Huskers!), Rapid City South Dakota (love the Black Hills), Illinois, and New Jersey. Born in Jersey and spent 8 years there before the Air Force moved the family.

In my spare time, I don't enjoy walking! Actually, I do a little outside the job. I have to keep my two Shelties in shape. I play on a 25+ year old baseball team, take digital pictures, and play on the computer. Not to mention an occasional "honey do" list. My three kids keep me hopping, so there isn't much time to do other things. I wouldn't change things though. I also like to play with video editing when I get the chance. I haven't done too much yet, because I'm still learning. Burning the kids' activities to DVDs, for the grandparents, keeps me busy also.

That gives you a little bit of info on me. Probably more then you wanted. And here I didn't know what I would write.

See you around the board and, again, a big personal thanks to all of those that have helped me and keep the board going! There are too many names to list.

    Mike

This is very cool getting to know folks that we've seen from time to time and only known by their names. Now we can add a bit more information to the mix. Cool.

Yes, it is. Arie had a good idea when he started this.
