    MCHAAK,

Check your Display Properties Setting Tab. Under the "Colors" You should have Hi Color 16 Bit or 32 bit selected.

    Hope this helps

You need updated drivers, some 95 drivers won't work with w98. Hopefully the company that made your video adapter is still around. after installing you should be able to adjust your colors and screen size.......good luck:)

It seems to me that the Windows 98 CD comes with most all the Video Drivers available.

That is true, but in older machines, (I know, been there done that) These drivers don't always work . You can do a lot of surfing looking for the proper drivers. anyway try a different driver.

Not to mention that you should always check to make sure that the correct adapter and monitor for your OS has been recognized and initialized and windows is not using some generic standards.

That in combinaton with any tweaking you may have done [gama, brightness, color etc.] while using 95 will not have been carried over to 98 and will have to be redone. All the options one has for the personal preference customizing of IE will also have to be experimented with.

But as mentioned, most important, is getting any updated drivers for both of the above.
