Hi, the graphics card that was retrofitted card to my DELL Poweredge SC440 failed (overheated) and I replaced it with a NVIDIA GeForce 210 card. The socket had been modified to allow such card to be fitted. (Plenty of info on the Net about this)
I now find the screen text is overlapped, with the lower portion of the text in a box being partly obscured by the text in the next box.
I have tried various resolution and text size settings to no avail. Also some applications open with a very small font size, which I increase to make them easily read.
I would be prepared to install a different card if this is what it takes. No I don't know what the old card was.
    Comments most welcome.

Do you have the service tag number. Should be located on the computer case.

The service tag number is 70MFB3J.
This PC is basically a server that I, and many others it seems, have successfully used as a desktop unit. It has a BTX motherboard. The on-board graphics are pretty useless and people modify the slot to accept standard cards. From the Net I gather that overheating of these cards not unknown.
As it used to work OK,is it likely it is a card problem?

Hard to say. Could be, but it sounds like a driver issue to me - which may be a problem with an unauthorized modified board.

If any PCI slots (not PCIe) you might try an entry-level PCI graphics card. No cutting of slot keys required.

Found the old graphics card, it is an INNEO3D 7300GT Mod P900.
I emailed INNEO asking what current card would be the equivalent. They replied saying the card was AGP and that they are unavailable. EOL was the term used, I think. That I would have to change the system to use a current card.
All this surprises me as nowhere did I see a reference to AGP by those who had converted these PCs to desktop use.
Now it remains for me to find an AGP card or to call the whole thing off. That is unless some of you experts know better.
