Windows Home 64 bit. I receiver a notification to update my graphics driver from Intel. I went to their site and tried to download. I received a notification that I should go to the HP web site and download from them. I did. Everything went well. I checked the device manager but it didn't install. I tried again from Intel. Same as before. I tried again. This time I checked the box to uninstall the old driver before it install the new one. That downloaded/installed well. Device manager had the new driver installed.

My problem. I just received a notification that my computer is waiting for a restart to install a driver. I went to Windows Update and it wants to install the old driver I updated. I can't restart/shutdown without having the old driver installed again. I can pause the download for a week but can I pause it for good?

Hi DugE, Was your comp operating OK before you got the Notification from Intel?
If so, I would Restart and let W11 do it's thing.
There are differing ideas on this, but if Drivers are Certified/Registered with Windows (MS) you should not have any problems.
If you go to Settings > Windows Updates > Update History > Scroll to bottom > Related Settings > Uninstall Updates > Your choice.
