    Hi all!

AIDA32 makes the remark that since my Graphics Card BIOS is more than two years old, it recommends to do an update, if one is available.

I searched the Inno3D homepage and the user manual but can´t find any reference to Graphics Card BIOS.

Anyone who knows what this is about?

    Thanks for Your time,
    Christer

Hi Christer, when I run AIDA32 I get the same remark. Just a default advisory that your BIOS is getting on in age. I would think that there is no need to update BIOS unless you need to for reasons of installing new hardware/software that isn't compatible with the current one. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it ":D

Edit: AIDA also tells me I should consider updating to Windows 2000!!!!!

    Hi John!

I try to adhere to that advice and give it to others from time to time!

The strange thing about this remark is that I´ve never heard of a Graphics Card BIOS before and since I can´t find any reference to it anywhere, I conclude that it does not exist.

    Hi Christer

A video card is essentially a mini mobo complete with processor, memory and chipset dedicated to providing video services to the system in which it is installed, and as such is likely to have a BIOS. My Matrox G550 has a BIOS which I have updated in the recent past.

    Hi Pete!

Well, then I suppose that my Graphics Card has a BIOS too. It says nothing about it in the manual and I couldn´t find anything on the Inno3D web site.

I´ll have to go back there and look deeper!

It's possible that your video bios is not capable of update.

Pete's right. Some allow for updates and others don't.

    I´ll start the correcting procedure by ignoring AIDA32 ...... :D ......
