GPS will not show as a drive on PC

Hi, Just bought a new Garmin Drive smart 65 LTM-s GPS, only connects to my PC as a unknown device but will not show up as a drive, it works OK on my other PC and my tablet, all running W8.1 Pro, Tried to download the latest drivers from Garmin but it says something is wrong with the NIF, ??/
I have 2 other Garmin GPS's and these all work OK, Any suggestions, I have done all the swapping and restarts etc , tried all the ports and about 4 cables. but seeing it does actually show connected , I guess it is a internal PC problem Thanks Des.

 

Is it possible that you do not have the latest drivers from Windows Update?
Can you try your new Garmin on a W10 comp to see if it's recognized?
I think updates have ceased for W8 - MS are only providing Security Patches for W8 OS.

 

Thanks for reply, but I just tried it again on my other desktop and tablet, and it is recognised on both of them, I will try Windows Update again, Thanks.
