Hi all - Tonight, while working on a long email message (which I worked on for over an hour), I got a message from Netscape about something like Quality Control Feedback. When I clicked "Cancel" to get rid of this box, I lost my entire email message. Is there anyway to recover it?

    Thanks,
    Leslie

    Leslie,

I'm not sure if you can retreive the message that you were typing. I doubt it, but maybe Ramona (this board's Netscape expert) will pop in here with a suggestion on that. The error message that you received is probably from the Talkback program in Netscape. That program is used to report errors to Netscape and is full of bugs. I have always deleted that from my installs. Look for these files and delete them (always backup your Users folder before deleting anything):

    FullSoft/Talkback Agent files:

    fullsoft.dll . . Or . . rename to: fullsoft.bad
    talkback.exe
    talkback.hlp
    talkback.cnt

That should stop the error program from running.

    Mike

    Hi Leslie,

I'm afraid that your message is irretrievable. When working on something that important, I usually compose the message in a text editor, then copy to the Mail compose window. I learned the hard way, just as you did.
