    Hello nana,

A lot of Board members use the tool and think highly of it.

As far as I know, google's tool bar is ad ware free. The earlier versions did update w/o permission but I think google responded to complaints on that issue and that has stopped. Be sure to read the fine print though.

I'm pretty sure that it adds a BHO to the Browser. In this thread, I recommended a tool, BHODemon, to find and disable/enable any BHO's that apps add to the Browser: http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?p=209005#post209005

I use the Google toolbar, and, yes, it does add browser helper objects, but none are "malicious ". In addition to having a good pop up blocker (kinds redundant, however, with XP2) it gives you an "auto fill" feature for web forms, and a right click translation option. You can configure the toolbar to include the options you use and want, and skip what you don't. I like the Google search handy on the browser, if you don't, you can make it disappear. No, I don't work for Google, but I am very satisfied with the Google toolbar. If you decide it's not for you, it is easy to uninstall.

    Hi nana,

i have spyware guard.think it does the same as bho demon.i hope

Yes, in so far as monitoring realtime BHO add-ons. SpyBot resident processes do that as well. The difference is the disabling/enabling of a BHO to see the effects which is why I recommend it's use just for that, and not for it's resident protection which can be disabled.

I use an earlier version BHODemon v1.x, which does just that - no resident preventative ability.
